2015 was the year that PIMP (which is Party in my Plants’ cool coincidental nickname) spent more time on the bloob tube, I mean boob tube, I mean – YouTube! than on the blog.
Since the big massive, oh em gee-makes-me-nervous-to-say-outloud dream is to one day have my own real TV show, it only makes sense to make my own show in my kitchen until that big time dream can become a real-time reality, and that’s what 2015 made leaps and bounds towards.
(And hey, getting on Doctor Oz in 2015 was a hell of a way to get things moving!!)

In addition to Doctor Oz, which was watched by over 3 million folks (what!??!), here’s a countdown to the top 10 Plant-Parties that were watched by, well, just over a few thousand folks on Party in my Plants’ YouTube channel.
Consider this playlist the “NOW: volume 1” that you giddily popped into your discman way back when. (I can still remember the rush! And playing Janet Jackson’s “Together Again” on non-stop repeat.) If you wanna play these videos on non-stop repeat, head over here to the ‘best of 2015’ playlist! <–
10.) Matcha Chia Pudding (Coconut Water Chia Pudding!)
In this recipe, I took the most hydrating, anti-bloating, energizing, filling and nutritious ingredients around town and put them together into a delicious and convenient, easy-to-make treat that I seriously ate and filmed myself enjoying moments before a wedding.

9.) Protein Pancakes! (Vegan & Egg-White Versions)
This video shows you how to make the protein pancakes that are my daily morning staple (which you can definitely attest to if you follow me on Instagram.) I used to avoid pancakes like fast food like the plague. It wasn’t until l started making THESE protein pancakes that I learned that pancakes ACTUALLY DON’T have to be a pre-curser for a nap. And body fat. So these are the pancakes that’ll leave you feeling energized, full, satisfied, fit and happy.

8.) Healthy Mac & Cheese! (Healthy Comfort Food)
I was worried that you might think that just because I eat healthfully, doesn’t mean I don’t LOVE comfort food. In reality, I love comfort food that actually makes me feel…COMFORTABLE. Most “comfort foods” tend to make us feel, UNCOMFORTABLE, right? Which is a total scam. So I showed you how to make this bowl of healthy mac and cheese, which is the ultimate comfort food that’ll ACTUALLY make you feel…COMFORTABLE. Image may be NSFW.

7.) Healthy Peanut Butter Snacks for the Nut Butter Obsessed!
Here’s a random [not-so] fun fact: 7ish years ago I had a doctor tell me I was digestively allergic to peanuts. (Meaning they’d hurt my stomach but not make my throat close up.) So I avoided one of my favorite foods for like 7 sad years. I’d recently begun “testing” my belly with PB, and last summer I really experienced that in fact, I was totally able to to peanut butter (LIFE CHANGING!!!!) and thus this video with tons of PB snacks for PB obsessed (me!) was born.

6.) My Daily Green Smoothie (& YOUR Daily Green Smoothie, Too!)
If you haven’t hopped on the daily green smoothie train, this video’s about to throw you “all aboard!” I made this video so you could see how SIMPLE, EASY and QUICK MY daily green smoothie is, so you’ll have no more excuses not to be making your own daily green smoothie!!!
(Oh, and in this video I liken a green smoothie to kissing, and may or may not compare kombucha to sex.) What?!? I know, right? Sometimes this Plant-Partier can come up with some whacky plant-based ideas…)

5.) Too Tired to Make a Healthy Dinner? MAKE THIS!!
Many more nights than not, we all feel “too tired to make dinner.” (Like, when DON’T we?!?!) So I made this video to show you the best meal to make under those circumstances. It requires NO dicing, chopping, mincing or julianeing. It calls for NO measuring, portioning or counting. And it asks for NO blender, food processor or anything else that needs to be plugged in. Hell, it barely requires any THINKING!!!

4.) How to Make HEALTHY Popcorn!! 3 Ways!
Popcorn is one of those things that can EASILY go from totally healthy and benign to totally UNHEALTHY and harmful (to your health, weight and feeling-good-ness). So I wanted to show you, in this video, how to keep your popcorn on the healthy and benign side (plus yummy, too). You’ll be truly shocked at how EASY and SIMPLE it is to make healthy popcorn at home! (And totally addicted to doing it!)

3.) Healthy Cake Pops!! (What to Eat When it’s Your Birthday)
Unlike my birthday 2 years ago when I decided to NOT eat cake – read more here – this LAST birthday, I decided to go with the cake POPS! I figured that sitting down to one serving (even if that “one” = technically 4) of cake on the end of your birthday and calling it a night was pretty lame. And I thought, “know what isn’t lame? Eating HEALTHY CAKE POPS allllllll birthday-day long!”
So in came these healthy cake pops! These adorably DELICIOUS babies that are packed with protein, so your blood sugar won’t get spiked one tiny bit and taste every bit as delicious as “traditional” birthday cake. In fact, these are loaded with such good ingredients, I might even dare to say that you SHOULD eat them. Even on days that aren’t your birthday!

2.) Apple Cider Vinegar Drink! (to Flatten Tummy & Boost Energy)
Honestly, this video came out of need for my coaching clients – to whom I was recommending my daily “ACV drink” on the regular!! I figured that my non-coaching clients would also want to know about this Apple Cider Vinegar drink that can really help them feel and look their absolute best, so I demo-ed it this quick vid and have received so many emails from people who now whip up this quick healthy drink on the reg! Plus, this video turn out to be a hit! The #2 hit, to be exact!

1.) Zoodles!! How to Make Carb-Free Pasta (with pesto!)
The #1 most popular video of 2015 was about zoodles!! Every summer, zoodles become my BFFs (and apparently yours too since it was the #1 vid!). They’re the perfect way to get in pasta without boiling water. And they’re also the perfect way to eat pasta without ruining your “bikini body” since they’re carb-free and calorie-low! (And plant-full.) Zoodles are noodles made from ZUCCHINI! And this video walks you through how to make them and includes my favorite pesto that I use to dress them up and make ’em all pretty yummy.

AAAAnnnddddd….here are: The Top 5 Under-Viewed Vids of 2015 (if I do say so myself!):
5.) How to Make Hummus
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve picked up a hummus container in a store and LOLed (you know how you sometimes laugh at terrible things by mistake?) at how much FAT and crap was in the store-bought hummus. Seriously, some hummi (hummus, plural) are made with an unbelievable amount of low-quality oil and why would you want that crap to enter your body? So I made this video to show you just how freakin’ EASY it is to actually make HEALTHY hummus at home!!! (Plus I figured, while you’re at it, it wouldn’t hurt to show you how to make an amazing GREEN HUMMUS and a CHOCOLATE HUMMUS, yep: C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E H-U-M-M-U-S!!!!, too.)

4.) Healthy Homemade Peanut Butter Cups
I think I mistakenly put this video out too late to temp you to make it for Halloween, because I don’t know why else this video wouldn’t be the #1 video of the year! It’s an EASY, totally realistic recipe for HEALTHY HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS!!! Like for real – the same peanut butter cups that you buy under the name Reeses or Justins. (And by “buy” I mean “are addicted to.”)

3.) Hot Apple TodTEA
This apple TodTEA is hands down one of the best recipes I created all year. I made huge batches of it upwards of 7 TIMES this holiday season and even a few little one or two cupper batches for just chilling with my boyfriend, and not ONCE did it disappoint. It’s truly the healthiest, coziest, most incredibly delicious warm cocktail I’ve ever enjoyed. And if a healthy booze recipe, filled with plants (apple cider and ginger tea) isn’t the epitome of Party in my Plants, I don’t know what is!!

2.) Healthy Hot Cocoa
This vid’s the second to last one of 2015 so I understand why it hasn’t joined the ranks of the ‘big 10’ yet, but it’s definitely bound to. Have YOU ever seen someone make a music video, sung to the tune of “Deck the Halls” to show you how to make the healthiest, easiest, yummiest HOT COCOA?! I mean – other than me, in this video. I figured giving you a 4-ingredient hot chocolate recipe would’ve been boring so I decided to spice it up a bit by showing off my mediocre singing skills. Truthfully, the singing isn’t what’s important about this vid; but the fact that you can actually whip up healthy hot cocoa in your home in seconds..IS.

1.) Magic Banana Ice Cream
If you’re ANYTHING like me, you love bananas, you love ice cream & you love magic. (Though I’m not sure you could love magic as much as me, I literally just went to two magic shows in this past month. #obsessed) But this recipe video has it all! This video shows you how to take beloved bananas and magically turn them into ICE CREAM! Yes, ICE CREAM! The thing we all SCREAM FOR! Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view. I personally eat banana ice cream more nights of the week than not, because it’s a 100% guilt-free dessert that can be whipped up in probably 2-3 minutes, max. That’s probably less time than it takes to let a carton of “real ice cream” thaw…

Oh! And there’s one video you might not have seen. (Because I didn’t promote it.)
Meet Party in my Plants!
It’s a video all about who I am, what Party in my Plants is, and how both (me and PIMP) came to be! I usually send it to people whose schools I want to speak at to give them a little “taste” of what I’m all about, but I figured you’d maybe be curious yourself! If so, have at it!:
